About 200 kids (and at least twice than many adults) turned out Saturday for the 8th annual Mark Twain Lake Shed Hunt for Youth at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center.

Thanks to sponsors and volunteers, each participant received a a shed antler, a 2019 Mark Twain Lake Shed Hunt t-shirt, and their own walking stick. Children hunted for sheds along the Eagle Bluff Trail at the Visitor Center.

The Visitor Center lobby was filled with informational booths from various groups highlighting information on deer and other related outdoor topics throughout the day, while the Monroe City Whitetails Unlimited Chapter provided a lunch.
