Ray Behrens, Indian Creek & Frank Russell Campgrounds Open

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake will open campgrounds for the 2026 recreation season on April 3.

Reservations begin Wednesday, Feb. 18, at approximately 9 am. Reservations are required before occupying a campsite. All sites are reservable. Reservations can be made at recreation. gov or by calling 877-444-6777.

Deer Run, sites 1A-47B: April 3 to Nov. 22
Little Bluestem, sites 48-116: April 3 to Oct. 18
Cedar Ridge, sites 117-157: May 1 to Sept. 13

Indian Creek Campground
Sentry Ridge, sites 1-65: May 1 to Oct. 18
Nighthawk, sites 66-95: May 1 to Sept. 13/Oct. 12 – Oct. 18
Fox Loop, sites 96-121: April 3 to Sept. 27/Oct. 12 – Nov 22
Eagle Point, sites 122-177: April 3 to Sept. 27/Oct. 12 – Nov 22
Hike-in sites HI1-HI20: open holiday weekends

Frank Russell Campground
Joanna, sites 1-20B: May 22 to Sept. 27
Clear View, sites 21-29: May 22 to Sept. 27
Flint Ridge, sites 30-60: May 22 to Nov. 22
Equestrian sites 61-67: April 3 to Nov. 22

Opening of the Frank Russell Recreation Area Campground is delayed due to roadway improvement work this spring.
