Murphy’s Bridge to perform at the 2014 Mark Twain Lake Rodeo

Now in its 28th year, the Mark Twain Lake Rodeo is Mark Twain Lake’s largest annual event. Each year, the rodeo draws thousands of visitors to the three-day event and has been named Missouri’s Rodeo of the Year a number of times.

The 2014 version will take place July 3-5 at the Warren G. See South Spillway Recreation Aea below Clarence Cannon Dam. A full slate of rodeo events begins at 8 p.m. nightly, rain or shine. Food and merchandise vendors are on the grounds. The band Murphy’s Bridge will perform all three nights, providing music for dancing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning at 10 p.m. and continuing until 1:00 a.m. A large fireworks display will take place after dark on Friday, July 4.

Tickets for the rodeo are $12 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children 6 and under are free! Ticket locations include: Abel’s Quik Shops; Hickman’s IGA (Paris & Perry); Cannon Dam General Store, Rt. The special edition is scheduled to be inserted in newspapers in the Mark Twain Lake area this week, and will be handed out to rodeo fans when they attend the event on July 3, 4 or 5.
